Set in the gardens of a 1000 acre cocoa plantation the 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom self-catering
beach-front bungalows have 1950s furniture and twin single beds. Each has a living/dining room,
kitchen, bathroom with shower, screened louvered windows, and a large veranda with
loungers and BBQ. They suit families or groups of easy-going friends.
Other activities are sunbathing, swimming, and beachcombing. The sand is a little coarse;
bathing near the cottages is safe for children if properly supervised. 6 bays are easily
accessed by boat including Pirates Bay (a 15min walk). There is a basic provisions shop on site,
operating on an honesty system. For fresh produce you shop in Charlotteville (the choice there
is very limited). Cooks, maids and babysitters can be hired. No TVs, radios or telephones.
Book at least 6 months ahead for Nov-May as they have a high proportion of repeat visitors.
